Computer Programmer/Analyst

The MGIS Companies is seeking an entry-level Computer Programmer/Analyst to aid in developing enterprise level business applications.

Position Duties Include:

Create Windows and web applications using Rapid Application Development tools
Communicate with business users regarding capability specifications
Create tables and manage data in SQL Server databases
Create and Manage DTS Packages in SQL Server
Support existing application and debug code
Understand principles of Object Oriented Analysis and Design
Provide support for ASP.NET applications written in C# using Visual Studio
Create and review system documentation
Derive and design technical specifications from general product requirements and specs
Any other duties that may be assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate should possess an associates or bachelors degree in computer science, IT/IS or business (or a related field) and be results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities. Database design and programming experience is a strong plus. Appropriate training in development methodologies and tools will be provided.

Ability to implement from technical specifications
Be accountable for agreed upon development schedule
Assist in quality assurance measures (code reviews, test case creation, unit testing, etc.)
Ability to multi-task and work well under high pressure
Good communication skills
Work well independently as well as in a team
Various projects and assignments as assigned
Ability to work cohesively with others
