Description:


• Serves as company's Chief Technology Officer with overall responsibility for the long-range direction of technological planning and development.
• Oversees the technology research and development efforts leading to new or improved systems. Determines criteria for screening new technology ideas for potential and practicality.
• Establishes, communicates and maintains corporate technology architecture for production technology systems. Ensures that architecture can support the growing and changing needs of the business.
• Directs overall technology development plan so that new products or improved products are delivered to market on a timely basis.
• Assists CIO in the development of corporate strategies and strategic objectives as well as operating policies and procedures to ensure attainment of these corporate objectives.
• Ensures that architectural standards and processes are understood and administered by the management team.
• Uses strategic objectives as basis for establishing action plans, technology standards and performance measures.
• Assumes other special projects/assignments as directed by the CIO.


Requirements:


Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree desirable.
• 15-20 years relevant experience with at least 5 years as a principal engineer or architect.
• 7-8 years internet, online experience desired.
• Experience with object oriented development, n-tiered systems, large-scale databases and multiple data centers.
• Experience leading large-scale software development projects.
• Or relevant combination of education and experience.
