Chief Engineers
These positions will be responsible for identifying technology trends that can lead to new product opportunities for Smiths Grand Rapids Products and Programs that will have revenue potential and evaluating new product concepts from internal and external sources. Will also apply a structured methodology to assess business viability with minimal initial investment, and analyze the market and develop preliminary business plans to introduce the product and support of the overall business planning process.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline; Master's degree preferred.
A minimum of 10 years related experience in an avionics/aerospace industry.
Ability to understand business/economic issues required for overall systems optimization.
In-depth experience with an element of avionics systems - hardware/software design, development, integration and certification with a civil or military system that has gone through full-scale development and into production.
Knowledgeable about program and project management.
To meet security and export control regulations, this position requires either U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident Alien Status.
