Our client is an Automotive Tier 1 and Tier 2 company looking for someone to lead application for diesel exhaust emissions products. This role takes you to US customers and customers in Europe and Asia with extensive travel to meet various OEM's. Our client offers outstanding benefits and opportunity for growth.

What we are really looking for is an engineer who has experience with diesel exhaust emissions applications and someone who understands the 2010 emissions targets and works on a 'hands-on' basis with applications working closely with OEM's located worldwide.

You need to be a driven person, a self directed individual as you will be working from your home office.... travel to meet with engineering and product development staff...coordinate programs....travel to visit customers to coordinate programs... and projects. You should have the ability to understand the customer's need and turn this into engineering specifications, provide engineering assistance, assist with design changes and corrective actions and establish a close working relationship with the customer engineering staff.

Job Functions:

Establish product requirements and specifications with customers.

Recommend new products to customers.

Provide engineering support to customers.

Provide customer data to engineering and sales.

Recommend design changes to the product.

Provide technical know-how and guidance to sales and marketing.

Travel to visit customers and monitor product validation.

Help establish an application engineering team.

Requirements
BSME or MSME or Equivalent 4+ Year Education.

5 plus years experience with diesel exhaust emissions.

Understanding of diesel engines, combustion process... elements that go into the design and operation of diesel engines.

Experience or knowledge of Catalytic converter or catalysis process is a huge plus.

Knowledge of emissions testing is a huge plus.

Experience must be from an Automotive or Truck OEM or Tier 1.

Outstanding communication skills - both written and oral - you will be expected to represent the company on critical missions.
