C/UNIX Application Developer

We currently have 3 Openings for C/UNIX Application Developer at our client site located in Center City, Philadelphia. We have the option to entertain individuals who would like to be a straight consultant(12 Month Engagement), 6 Month-to-Hire, or Direct-Placement, all depending on the candidate's desire.

Our client is looking for someone with strong design and problem solving skills with C/C++. (Embedded programmers need NOT to apply). The right candidates will possess transaction processing or real-time message based processing experience. Our client deals with 500,000 transactions per second with 0% latency.

Developer Touch Points:

* 8+ years of development experience
* Should have good design skills and preferably experience in a business/analyst role.

Technical Requirements:

* Solaris, SUN OS, or HP UNIX experience
* Excellent Computer Science skills.
* Experienced in the use of formal data structures (linked-lists, hash tables, etc.)
* Excellent C programming skills.
* Experience with mid to large scale application development in a 3-tier or n-tier client-server environment.
* Transaction processing or real-time message based processing experience.
* Publish-subscribe middleware experience desired.
