Business Deployment ManagerPosition Summary:As part of the Phoenix IT ASCENT (AdminServer) Platform team, you will provide technical support and service for our Life and Annuity ASCENT Policy Administration system. Our team works closely with our business areas and other IT areas to provide superior, knowledgeable service in support of policy administration of Phoenix Life and Annuity products. This position is a technical deployment manager for ASCENT/AdminServer implementations. The deployment manager is accountable for the preparation and facilitation of all ASCENT project and baseline releases and implementations.Responsibilities include: Work with ASCENT teams, common services, and other IT application areas to coordinate AdminServer deployments.
Create and maintain deployment plans.
Follow release management and change control processes.
Responsible for end-to-end deployment.
Identification of deployment issues and risks, and reporting of release status.
Ensure deliverables are of a high quality and meet expected dates.
Ensure deployment standards and practices are adhered to.
Maintain the schedule for deployment to model office environment.
Conduct release meetings and deployment walkthroughs.
Attend release management and change management meetings.
Administration of RFC's.Position Qualifications include: Experience application deployment in multiple development environments from unit to production.
Experience with software integration practices and standards.
Knowledge of mainframe, desktop, client-server, and web-based architectures.
Strong analytical skills with a propensity for detail and accuracy.
Strong consultative and facilitation skills.
Strong negotiation skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work within a diverse, matrix team environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, multitask and focus on critical path deliverables.
Advanced level of organizational and time management skills.
