Business Objects Developer

You will be responsible for development of Business Objects platform. Work with the Business Intelligence development team to enable multiple business units interacting with the Data Warehouse. Works to perform analysis of business issues and formulation of solutions. Fully accommodates the client’s business needs, resolves conflicting user demands and maintains positive client relations with strong communication and coordination. Implement Dashboards, OLAP Intelligence, and work with Web Intelligence. Lead the BO migration effort to XI.

Other tasks will include ongoing communication with the business. Maintaining and enhancing Universes and reports. Performing Universe and report tuning using Business Objects and Oracle query tuning, and completing all these tasks following the standards set in place for project life cycle development. The BO Developer will implement Dashboard/Scorecard, OLAP, and Web Intelligence reports to fulfill departmental reporting needs. Implement drill down and drill across functionality within business objects modules such as Web Intelligence and Dashboard Manager. Deploying Business Objects in an architected framework.

REQUIREMENTS
• Strong communication, organization, and data analysis skills
• Experience with designing BO Universes, WebIntelligence
• Experience with developing BO against Star Schema and other relational design techniques.
• Experience with data analysis, report design, and creation
• Experience working with Data Warehouse DBMS
• Strong SQL skills querying relational and multi-dimensional database structures.
• Experience with related technologies, including Decision Support, OLAP, RDBMS, client server, and multidimensional database technology
• Experience with products in the Business Objects suite including Designer, Supervisor, WebIntelligence, OLAP and Dashboard Manager.

Other desirable skills include:
• Experience in Business Objects Reporter, Supervisor, and Designer 5.1.8, Web Intelligence 2.7.5, Broadcast Agent 2.7.5, and Publisher 5.6.2.
• Experience with the following is desired: Business Objects (6x, 7x, XI), Oracle DBMS 8i, 9i
• Experience working on the Business Objects XI platform a plus

Bachelor's Degree; 2 to 5 years work experience.
