Impart expert advice on industry and solution trends to internal clients in analyzing and planning their current and future IT needs. Gather customer's business requirements, translating those requirements into cost-effective solution strategies, frameworks, and architectures and guide the implementation of these solutions to deliver high quality results to meet or exceed customer expectations in a timely manner. Present expertise in applying the enterprise architecture for business or technical activities to a specific system or function. Simultaneously plan, manage, and provide technical oversight for solutions architecture activities. Direct completion of tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints. Schedule and assign duties to solution team members; Formulate and enforce work standards. Coordinate with Group Manager ensuring problem resolution and customer satisfaction.May act as Chief Architect on a project team to lead and oversee solution implementation and project delivery. Also important to success in this position is the ability to understand business challenges and translate them into process/technical solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
Masters degree a big plus (i.e. CS, MIS, Engineering or related)
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Engineering, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or other related engineering or technical discipline
6-8+ years of solutions architecture and project management experience.
5+ years experience with Java, J2EE, .NET and application integration methodologies.
5+ years experience performing functional and data requirements analysis, information engineering, systems analysis and design, and data and process modeling.
3+ experience supervising technical teams and Technical Lead / Application Architect of at least two lifecycle implementations. Participation in each phase of at least five full lifecycle implementations.
Implementation experience utilizing Service Oriented Architecture patterns and related technologies.
Experience with: Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), WebSphere WBI tools and framework, WebSphere MQ and WebSphere Studio.
Significant Consulting or Client facing background
Demonstrated analytical and qualitative abilities
Superb written, verbal communication as well as listening skills
Outstanding team player
Keen attention to detail
Desired Skills:Experience with transactional business systems such as Sales, Fulfillment and Distribution, Accounting, Purchasing, or manufacturing control strongly preferred. Experience with workflow applications preferred.
Experience with any of the following industries is preferred: Telecommunication, Media, and Entertainment.
