Business Analyst - Tidewater area

Classification: Consulting Compensation: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour Robert Half Technology is currently seeking multiple Business Analysts for our client partner in the Tidewater area. The Business Analyst will gather and document application requirements with key business users. Develop test plans, test scripts and test cases from business requirements. Work closely with Data Analysts, Software Developers, and end users to iterate through project requirements and testing results. Validate test results, report and track discrepancies and participate in the resolution of defects and retesting. Work closely with project manager, business users and development teams in enforcing quality control, processes and standards. Contribute to the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of documentation. Continuous communication with project manager on status, issues, and risks.Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Strong experience with gathering business requirements and documenting them in a fashion easily understood by business users as well as software developers. Knowledge of SQL, HTML, ASP, .NET and IIS Web Applications. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook; Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should have demonstrated proficiency time-management, communication and interpersonal skills; high attention to detail; ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines; ability to work flexible/extended hours, including evenings and/or weekends as required.All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States.
