Bloom Full Time Master Cake Decorator

To produce high quality cakes, maintain a consistent cake program at all times, provide excellent customer service, and fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the Department Manager.

Reporting Function

Reports to the Deli Bakery Sales Manager and his or her absence, to the assigned Key Associate or Manager on Duty.

Duties And Responsibilities
The Master Cake Decorator must know how to perform all the duties and fulfill all responsibilities below. This is not all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed to meet business needs.

To provide quality service to customers maximizing sales through excellent customer service.

Understands and executes programs according to Bloom Standard Practice guidelines.

Carries out specific duties as assigned by the Deli/Bakery Sales Manager

Complies with all Bloom policies and Standard Practices in all areas of the Deli/Bakery operations.

Produces and merchandises Quality in store decorated cakes, cupcakes and related products as specified in the Bloom Cake Manual.

Produces product that meet the requirements of Labor Standards for each variety.

Operates and maintains airbrush, and picture cake equipment.

Does not Freelance unless requested by a customer.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential Skills

Understands how to rake/fill special orders and teach others how to do the same.
Understands and executes the proper use of tare and controls.

Understands how to utilize the Production Guides as well as how to react to the data that the guides provide for any necessary allocation, or production adjustments.

Understands and executes all Food/Safety/Sanitation practices for Deli/Bakery.

Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 35 lbs as necessary. Ability to train additional associates to perform the duties of a Cake Decorator.

Understands and executes breaking down and reassembling related equipment for sanitation purposes.

Understands and execute the proper use of department scales.
