Autocad Mechanical Design Engineer

Technisource is a national provider of technology services, focused on achieving the unique goals of our clients and consultants. We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer as well as a junior to mid-level Mechanical Designer designer for a long-term contract opportunity in Kalamazoo, MI.

1) Senior Mechanical Designer needed with 5-15 years experience of Mechanical Design and Layout capabilities. Fluent in AutoCAD. MicroStation experience a huge plus. Experience in design and layout of process and / or packaging lines in the food and or beverage industry. Experience with equipment layout in processing and/or packaging equipment systems desired along with performing space allocations, preliminary engineering packages and RFIs. General knowledge/understanding of types of equipment used and generic functions of each a plus (fillers, de-scramblers, casepackers, palletizers, etc.) . Ability to work as part of a team and experienced doing field checks and walk downs. Piping and instrumentation design experience preferred. Must be comfortable directing young engineers and working with Project Managers. Strong field experience with with asbuilts, working with contractors during installation and start up . The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and will have exposure to customers. Some travel will be required.

2) Mechanical Designer who is fluent in AutoCad 2002 or later version. Experience with Microstation V8 is a plus. Designer will be a part of a project team to develop drawings and bid packages to implement customer's projects. Experience with equipment layout, piping, utilities, or facilities modifications is necessary. Knowledge of food, pharmaceutical and/or personal care industries is desired.
Mechanical Designer
- AutoCAD 2002 or later version
- Microstation V8, desired
- Must have equipment layout experience.
- Must have piping utilities, or facilities modifications experience
- 4-10 years experience, preferable in the food, pharmaceutical, or personal care industries
- Will commit to a long-term contract in Kalamazoo, Michigan
