AutoCAD Designer (piping)

Purpose: Aerotek is seeking experienced AutoCAD piping designers/drafters for work at a refinery in St. Paul, MN.

Required: 3+ years minimum experience in refining or food processing systems design.
High School Diploma
Experience with AutoCAD 2004 and/or 2005

Description: Drafter
Candidate would be able to work on red lining drawings as well as simple drafting work. Familiarity with P&ID?s (Process and Instruction Diagrams), Isometric drawings (Standard Piping Drawings), Plant & Elevation drawings is PLUS. Majority of work will be involved with drawings that include pipe fabrication. Person will be working with drawings that contain replacement control valves and pumps throughout the facility. The drawings are originated by mechanical designers that modify and create a design that need to be updated by using red line drawing. The candidate needs to be ambitious with a willingness to move into a designer position eventually. 3D experience with CADWorx is a plus.

Candidate would be able to work with little direction on projects from conceptual layout to detailed design. Needs to be able to develop P&ID?s (Process and Instruction Diagrams), Isometric drawings(Standard Piping Drawings), Plant & Elevation drawings, as well work with E&I. Majority of work is developing isometric drawings and BOMs for pipe fabrication. Person will be designing replacement control valves and pumps throughout the facility. This person will visually inspect the specific area of piping that needs to be modify and create a design that will work with in certain guidelines by using red line drawing and changing the design. 3D experience with CADWorx is a plus
