Art Director-Interactive

The Cadient Group is currently seeking an Art Director – Interactive. The Art Director is responsible for leading client-specific creative assignments and setting the graphic and informational vision for our customers’ applications. Responsibilities include creating Web sites, Convention Applications, marketing and promotional materials, directing and reviewing creative implemented by Media Designers and presenting creative concepts internally and to our clients.
REQUIREMENTS


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Determines the overall creative approach and concept direction toward the design of Web screens for sites and applications
* Leads creative efforts on project teams and assists with the planning and implementing strategies to present information
* Owns client-specific stable of creative work, assigned as Creative Lead on all projects requiring creative involvement that stem from a client engagement
* Demonstrates functional expertise on navigation issues and organization of content
* Remains current on creative trends in our industry as well as the latest techniques/technologies that help drive cutting-edge creative
* Direct Sr. MD/Media Designers in the creation and manipulation of graphics to optimize the palette, size, and speed of the resulting Web screen.
* Works with IA/UXA, Tech & Sr. MD/Media Designers to manage deliverables and creative schedule
* Leads the design of Web sites and applications which consistently capture and project functionality and branding and are called on to provide hands-on support for design of same project work
*Provides weekly status reports to the Creative Director on projects
* Presents project-specific creative at all contracted agency efforts and represents our agency’s creative approach in presales presentations in Creative Director’s absence
* Mentors and guides Sr. MD/Media Designers/Media Production Designers toward their overall creative product quality
* Works with Strategists and Account Managers to assure the creative product meets strategic goals and client expectations

MINIMUM Qualfifications:
* BFA/BS/BA Marketing, Graphic Design, Art or closely related field, and
* Minimum 7-10 years verifieable professional experience with graphic design; pharmaceutical agency background highly desireable.
* Minimum 5-7 years experience with new media applications, including Flash.
* High-end knowledge, skills and abilities with design applications, including Photoshop and Illustrator as well as various web and multimedia applications

* Able to direct and manage designers toward executing interactive projects
* In-Depth knowledge of the Internet, e-Commerce applications and processes.
* Stays current with new technologies
* Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to interact with diverse audiences required.
* Motivated team player with excellent follow through
* Experience in defining goals and executing projects in required timeframes * Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
* Experience with national and international projects
* High level of accomplishment in concepting, composition, typography, drawing, photography and other means of image-creation, not merely image-manipulation
