Architect
Purpose: Large firm in Appleton is looking for a Registered Architect to fill a Project Architect position.
Position duties:
- Manage all design-related activities from inception to completion for specific projects, which includes but not limited to planning and programming, design and development, and construction administration and field visits
- Manage client relations throughout all phases of the design
- Responsible for design production schedule
- Provide overall coordination for approvals with governing agencies including sealing project documents, acquiring local occupancy permit and filing Substantial Compliance Report with the state when required
- Maintain quality control of in-house and consultative services
- Assess and communicate staffing requirements for specific projects to Team Leader
- Coordinate contracts for outside design services
- Prepare and coordinate specifications for all areas of work
- Provide direction to project team design staff
Position requirements:
- Registered Architect
- 8 years experience in the design/construction industry
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Multitasking on multiple projects
- Knowledge of local, state, and national codes and approval processes
- Comfort with small and large group presentations
- Written and oral communication skills
- High energy, self motivated, results-oriented
