Responsibilities:
This EE is a core development team member working to develop, launch, and support new arc detection products being developed for residential power distribution. The product includes an analog front end, an embedded microcontroller, and an electro-mechanical means to interrupt electrical line current. We are seeking a flexible, committed, team-oriented individual with strengths in analog design and embedded systems development, including firmware design.
The successful candidate will have strong oral and written communication skills and a strong ability in the area of teaming. Work will be focused on the development of arc detecting circuit breakers and shall include design and analysis work in the areas of cost optimized analog circuit design, embedded systems design, microcontroller programming in C and assembly language, circuit analysis and testing, and design verification and validation. Responsibilities will also include agency qualification activities, product launch and production support, and analysis of field returned product. Data analysis capabilities are also required.
The EE position will work within a larger team including mechanical engineering, process engineering, and program management.
Required Experience:
EE with 0-2 years experience
BSEE or MSEE required, min GPA 3.0
Circuit design experience in microcontroller-based embedded systems
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members while maintaining strong sense of individual responsibility.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with coworkers at all levels, as well as with suppliers and customers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment with complex project attributes.
