Application Support Analyst (Information Technology)

Top notch financial services company in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an Application Support Analyst for a PERM position to provide troubleshooting/support for Windows, UNIX, and Ethernet based, networked environment and trading applications. Your knowledge of the above mentioned systems and financial applications is needed to resolve system failure to keep the trading partners busy with their work and not dealing with technical issues. You will support the electronic trading systems to create a stable and profitable trading environment. Maintain and support applications and their operating environments, oversee testing and changes to applications and assist in problem management and resolution. You will work directly with the traders and IT developers to keep things running smoothly. PERM position, West subs of Minneapolis, MN.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements include strong technical knowledge of Windows 2000/XP, basic networking and wireless networks, Ethernet, Unix/AIX or Linux, enterprise administrative tasks such as tape backups and scripted automation tasks, and an understanding of data center management and technologies. Experience working with financial applications (trading systems highly desired, not required) and the ability to resolve problems or route the problem to the right place for final resolution is a big plus.
Minimum qualifications are: 5 years experience supporting Windows 2000, XP and MS Office, 3 years in windows scripting and basic task automation, 3 years of troubleshooting of Ethernet and wireless networks, one year working with a Unix environment.
