Description Fossil is searching for Assistant Designers to join their Leather's group. Experienced designers should and have a passion for pushing the boundaries of product design while maintaining an entrepreneurial mind set. Successful candidates will work well as a member of an interdisciplinary product team, translating trend research into innovative product designs. Design candidates should possess a strong sense of style and have a proven track record of translating fashion trends into accessory design. Fossil offers a creative and faced paced environment that challenges our design teams to create fashion forward products that are synonymous to the Fossil Brand. Responsibilities: Transcend creative thoughts into new innovative product designs for leather accessories, handbags, belts, and small leather goods. Research current trends and apply trends to product design Work closely with Sr. Management, vendors, factories and sales forces on Product Design and Development Create and deliver effective and cohesive product presentations to sell concepts to Sr. Management, Brand Teams, and merchants Daily contact and follow up with factories on product production Ability to work in a team environment yet also function independently with little direction *** All design positions are based in Dallas Texas. Fossil is an Equal Opportunity Employer. *** Requirements 1-3 years of direct design experience in accessories Bachelors degree in Fashion Design Experience designing leather handbags, belts, small leather goods is highly preferred Strong knowledge of design and product development process Sense for fashion and ability to generate new product ideas Refined communication and presentation skills Fluent in Photoshop and Illustrator and ability to design on Mac platform Ability to produce tight hand sketches and computer generated designs Desire to work in a faced paced environment while handling multiple projects
