Access/Oracle/VB Application Developer

The MIS system consists of a series of reporting applications built to support internal and external clients of Securities Lending. The reports are built using Visual Basic, Oracle PL/SQL, Crystal Reports, MS Access, and Excel. The initial focus of this position will be to help decommission this application as reports are migrated to a new reporting environment. Subsequent to this activity, assignments may include: new report creation using Cognos environment, development of complex Client specific reports, or work on other Securities Lending applications.

Responsibilities: Analyze business requirements and current processes to develop documentation and software that enables the migration of reports to the new platform. Assist in preparation, coordination, and migration of application enhancements from development to UAT to Production Investigate, research, and resolve production problems on a daily basis as necessary Hands on application development in Visual Basic, MS Access, Excel, Oracle, Java and knowledge of Cognos are a plus

Specific technical requirements:experience with MS Access and Visual Basic experience with Oracle RDBMS, including PL/SQL experience with Crystal Reports Cognos Reporting experience a major plus Java programming experience a plus ASP or JSP experience a plus UNIX and Autosys knowledge a plus
