Excellent opportunity for a AIX Sytems Administrator for a Financial Services Industry Leader!!!!

Skills:
Is proficient with most aspects of UNIX systems. Administration configuration of mail systems, system installation and configuration, printing systems, security, planning and installing third party software, backups and restores. Is able to plan new system deployments, OS and microcode upgrades across the environment. Solid understanding of AIX and clusters; understands paging and swapping, interprocess communication, devices and what device drivers do, file system concepts, and is able to implement HACMP
Tasks:
AIX systems administration in a data warehouse environment. Responsible for basic run the engine tasks, software installations, upgrades and license verifications, fault detection, escalation and repair, assisting developers with code roll-out and operational troubleshooting, performance metrics collection, analysis, and actions related to the analysis, planning upgrades, tech refreshes, migrations, and/or consolidations across the environment defining opportunities for operational efficiency.

12 month duration + extension
