VP of Administrative Services & Executive Asst to the President
This leadership position will oversee the Administrative Services Division which includes Operational Services (Real Estate, Facilities Management, Physical Plant, Campus Administration, Security and Contracted Services), Office of Information Technology and Office of Human Resources and Diversity. In addition, this person will act as an assistant to the President for special projects and initiatives and assist with strategy development, implementation and support.
Specific duties include:
•Oversee all physical planning and construction operations; develop / maintain a facilities master plan (short-term / long-term objectives for maintaining, expanding or consolidating all University campuses).
•Monitor / oversee the day-to-day operations and ongoing maintenance of the five Illinois campuses including security; guide outsourced operations of the mailroom, copy center, and other contracted services.
•Oversee the Office of Human Resources and Diversity including employee programs and services, policies, benefits, and diversity strategies / initiatives.
•Oversee / liaison for the University’s tech support team, ensuring proper management and system / data integrity; the strategic direction / operation of all tech needs (computer support, telephone, 24/7 help desk and interactive media area).
•Provide cost-effective administrative solutions, and manage / develop policies and procedures to support the goals of the University.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s highly preferred), 10-15 years related experience in managing one or more of the following administrative functions: facilities, campus operations, HR, IT, all preferably in higher education.
Other qualifications: independent decision making ability, computer proficiency, excellent presentation / interpersonal skills, budget experience, supervisory background, strong negotiation / strategic planning / project management skills.
