DESCRIPTION:Responsible for supervision and scheduling of transport drivers or common carriers transporting finished goods to sales centers. May also be responsible for warehouse operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Job Description/Objectives:
This position is primarily responsible for ensuring prompt efficient delivery of products throughout Southern California and the West Division from the San Diego Production Facility. Coordinate replenishment with the San Diego DRP Analyst and Transport Dispatchers to meet replenishment demand efficiently. Previous experience supervising/managing employees in a Union environment.Responsibilities:
Ensure San Diego replenishment distribution is fully staffed and effective

Ensure correct procedures are being followed by San Diego DRP Analyst

Ensure operational compliance with D.O.T for Transport Drivers domiciled to San Diego.

Train, develop & monitor San Diego Transport Drivers and staff to achieve maximum productivity.

Maintain maximum/optimum fleet utilization

Active Participant with San Diego Warehouse/Dock management.

Other duties as assigned by Transport Operations Manager

Responsible for managing & tracking employee attendance through Kronos
Labor planning and utilization

Optimize San Diego Transport PODQUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualification/Requirements:
Ability to supervise & motivate employees

3-4 years in Supply Chain / Logistics environments

Proficient PC skills to include SAP, Excel & Word

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees

Must be self –motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision
