We are recruiting for a Transportation Customer Service Representative for our Romeoville, IL facility. As Transportation CSR your job responsibilities will include the following:


Process customer orders, check for special instructions, respond to customer inquires, verify/track shipments, etc.
Prepare reports for customer/internal distribution.
Sort and file.
Maintain working relationships with customers and co-workers to facilitate the functions of transportation.
Internet tracing.
Heavy interaction with carriers.


REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates must posses the following:


1-3 Years of customer service related experience or similar. Transportation/ Traffic related experience a definite plus.
Previous experience in planning, tracking, and scheduling of trucks.
Moderate to heavy experience in handling heavy customer and carrier communications, fulfilling customer order requests, responding to customer inquires, order handling, verifying shipments, etc.
Demonstrated problem solving ability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Fluency with MS Office – Word, Excel, and Access; WMS/TMS experience a plus
Must be able to work overtime on an as needed basis, frequently on short notice.
Must be thorough and detail orientated.
