Trainer & Desktop Support

MSD is an employee-owned company of over 600 professionals who support the diverse technical, scientific, and administrative needs of the Federal government.
We are currently searching to fill a “Trainer & Desktop Support” position for supporting one of our clients. This opportunity is full-time on-site in Springfield, VA. This position will provide training needs and desktop support for in a dynamic 24x7x365 digital broadcasting environment.
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Trainer:
-Develop, coordinate and implement all Broadcast/IT related training at Alhurra TV and Radio Sawa. Applications include: MS Outlook, Office, XP, Cinegy, Avid, etc.
-Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
-Web development of training materials
-Provide guidance for desktop baseline builds and rollouts
-Blackberry support a plus
Desktop Support:
-MS Outlook, Office, XP, PCs, laptops, PDAs
-Desktop performance tuning
-Effective problem analysis and resolution skills
-Provide quality control and technical guidance for all desktop and laptop deployments
-Ability to work well as part of a team and individually
REQUIREMENTS
-Minimum of 2 years Desktop Training experience
-Ability to interact well with team member
-Excellent verbal and communication skills
-Excellent presentation skills
-Excellent analysis skills
-Broadcasting experience is a plus.

Educational Qualifications:
BA/BS or equivalent experience.

Other Duties:
-Work in a fast pace 24x7x265 environment
-Understand user needs and be able to respond with appropriate training and support.
