Trade Management Analyst (Customs Brokerage)

We are seeking a Trade Management Analyst to serve as our on-site presence at one of our major clients in southern CT. This person will facilitate the relationship between the client and their support resources within our organization. The position calls for a solid grasp of import classification and NAFTA regulations and procedures.

The major roles for the Representative include:

Determination and verification of classificationsCustoms compliance and accuracyDevelopment of Management reportsException managementOngoing process evaluation and developing measures to improve import process flowMAINTAINING AND GROWING A CRITICAL CLIENT RELATIONSHIP

The candidate will possess:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skillsThe ability to perform effectively independent of local supervisionAttention to detail, particularly as it applies to accurate classification of industrial goodsMinimum of 2 years experience in international trade preferably with an importer or customs broker

Brokerage Industry Regulatory Knowledge.Solid knowledge of HTSUS, Section Notes, Chapter Notes, Customs Rulings Database, etc.
