Provides Level 1 support to the users which includes advice and counseling on the use of technology and applications, as well as initial troubleshooting of systems and application problems. This person meets service level performance as defined by the Technical Support Management team. He/she ensures that user questions are answered in a timely manner as defined by policy. The Technical Support Specialist acts as the user advocate, communicating the user's concerns and suggestions. Administers ID lock-outs, lost passwords, and closes appropriate cases. Escalates complex problems to the appropriate resource, usually another IT department. Acts as a liaison between corporate IT departments and users. Produces reports at the direction of Technical Support Management. Participates in user training as directed by Technical Support Management, and performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
Graduate of an accredited college or university, or equivalent business experience. A minimum of 6 months experience in a help desk or support environment. Analytical and problem solving abilities. Able to effectively communicate with all levels of the company and with outside contacts. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
