Technical Support Engineer

SUMMARY:
The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for product quality and all instruments and procedures relating to quality. As an integral member of the management team this person will also lead process improvement and cost-reductions efforts as well as assisting in day to day management of the plant operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Optimize systems to reduce cost while ensuring utmost quality.
- Help troubleshoot daily operational issues.
- Lead process improvement and cost-reduction teams.
- Manage all aspects of customer complaints to include customer visits as necessary.
- Monitor and report product quality, taking action on improvement opportunities.
- Maintain product specifications.
- Maintain quality testing equipment and procedures.
- Provide technical support to lines of business. REQUIREMENTS


REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years in engineering environment with focus on process improvement.
- Six Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing techniques background preferred.
- Previous work experience in an industrial facility or paper mill preferred.
- BS Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
