Technical Services Analyst II / Help Desk

This position is a 3 month contract for a Technical Services Analyst II / Help Desk Level II position in Phoenix, AZ. This position may get extended depending on how things go, but it may end after 3 months.I. Summary:Individual is responsible for the support of hardware, software, and data related telecommunications. Installation and support will include, but not be limited to the following: file servers, application servers, PCs, hubs, printers, modems, wiring, communication links, e-mail, terminal emulation, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, accounting software, telecommunication software, WEB support, development tools, and databases.
II. Essential Job Functions:
1. Provide telephone technical support on all systems, including second level support.2. Provide oversight and implementation of all computer systems and networks.3. Provide timely delivery of computer systems and infrastructure, including software.4. Ensure an up-to-date inventory is maintained.5. Provide accurate and reliable delivery of service.6. Provide installation and support of PC and server based software.7. Communicate the details, requirements and status of all current and planned projects.8. Maintain the integrity and safety of data through the supervision of data backups and off site storage (remote site personnel).9. Performs other duties as assigned.
III. Supervisory responsibilities:Project based and on an as needed basis.
IV. QualificationsEducation required: High School Diploma.
Education preferred: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
Experience required: 5 years of PC/System support and maintenance.
Experience preferred: 5 - 7 years, system support and maintenance.
Skills Required: Working knowledge of all supported computers, hubs, routers, CSU/DSUs, applications, network operating systems, telecommunication protocols and networks. Strong communication skills.
Skills Preferred: All of the above, plus the ability to support multiple systems.
