Technical Service Representative - Rochester, MN

The Nalco Technical Service Representative is primarily responsible for assisting field sales personnel with several aspects of technical service including plant/system surveys and field trials for local customers. The candidate's main duties include -- but are not limited to -- performing equipment installation, repair and calibration of instruments; recommending changes in chemical dosage, feed rates, or equipment; monitoring chemical inventory, electronic trouble shooting, and providing service reports. There also will be water testing and basic recommendations to customers for managing their water treatment program. This person will cover power plants, middle markets (mostly food processors) and commercial accounts. This position is located in Rochester, Minnesota.

REQUIREMENTS






The successful candidate must have strong mechanical/electrical skills along with experience in instrumentation and basic computer skills. The ideal candidate will be familiar with utilities operation (boilers, cooling, waste water). A good driving record is required. Knowledge of basic chemistry, some electrical experience, and plumbing are all pluses. Power plant experience is a plus.
