Technical Sales Representative-Phoenix, AZ

Nalco District Sales Representatives make cold calls for developing new business opportunities while maintaining an existing customer base. In addition to growing business, responsibilities include working with facility engineers to improve the efficiency of customer plant operations. The service aspect of the position includes, among other things, evaluation of plant operating equipment, data acquisition and monitoring, writing service reports and maintaining current operation manuals. This position will be located in Phoenix, and serve the commercial, power, and industrial markets. There may be light (10%) overnight travel
The candidate will be exposed to many types of industrial equipment including water treatment equipment, boilers, cooling towers, refrigeration and a wide range of piping, valves and pumps.

REQUIREMENTS
The desired candidate will have a four-year technical degree (Chem Eng or Mech Eng best.) The winning candidate will also have 2 plus years of plant engineering experience. We will also consider a person with some sales experience to a plant environment. We will also consider exiting Junior Military Officers. Excellent oral and written communications skills, an outgoing personality, interest in being a team player, and a desire to sell are also needed. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
