Team Manager - Website Project Implementation

The Cobalt Group—a leading provider of online retailing and search engine marketing solutions for the automotive industry—seeks qualified applicants for the position of Project Implementation Team Manager (PITM). The PITM supervises, directs, and provides professional development and guidance to the cross-functional team that designs and builds websites for Cobalt clients. The PITM must be organized, articulate, detail and goal-oriented, and have a strong drive to meet monthly deadlines. The right candidate has a highly developed understanding of project management methodologies (and is able to train others in them), possesses acute business acumen, and is skilled at leading and delegating to a cross-functional team.Knowledge AreasThe PITM supervises the cross-functional implementation team and coordinates multiple projects to ensure the timely, successful completion of deliverables. Responsibilities include revenue goal management, resource assignment, process improvement, and team mentorship/professional development (including writing and conducting performance appraisals and ongoing training assessment). The PITM identifies and recommends process improvement opportunities; tracks and reports project-level success metrics, (including issue tracking and resolution); proactively identifies work-scope changes (and amends the scope of work requirements and timelines accordingly); provides full and accurate project communication with internal and external clients and vendors; manages internal and external client expectations on all project deliverables; and serves as a liaison to field sales and internal staff regarding contract and implementation expectations/requirements. Once trained, the PITM is expected to be a subject matter expert in the management and deployment of Cobalt products and services.Essential BackgroundThe right candidate has experience leading a cross-functional core team within a formalized software development methodology to deliver complex solutions to external clients; is able to manage monthly revenue goals while serving as a primary liaison to sales management; and has a demonstrated ability to manage internal and external client expectations. The candidate must also be skilled at requirements analysis, risk identification, mitigation, and conflict resolution.Required Skills4+ years proven leadership experience managing a diverse project management team.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Visio and Project.
Exceptional organizational skills and written and verbal communication skills, including mentoring, negotiation, and meeting facilitation.
Automotive industry experience a plus.
