Team Developer

FUNCTION/PURPOSE
Under direction and supervision, this position is responsible for ensuring training is provided to team members. The Team Developer works closely with the Customer Service Training Specialists to create new and update existing training materials as needed, and as initiated by changes in plans, policies and/or procedures. May be assigned to Board-sponsored projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provides one-on-one training and coaching to team members and new hires.
•Prepares, reviews or updates training and procedural manuals so they are kept current at all times; prepares job aids that specify learning objectives and strategies and modifies existing course materials teaching aids, etc. as required.
•Assists in the development and delivery of systems training for the organization.
•Assists in conducting needs and skill set assessments in the Customer Service Department.
•Contacts attendees, schedules classroom, prepares room set-up, conducts follow-up evaluation, monitors and maintains customer service training records database and manages other administrative details.
•Provides feedback to Customer Service Training Specialists and management on team member progress and proficiency.
•Prepares monthly reports of activities and keeps supervisor informed of significant problems or issues.
•Participates in projects and/or work teams as assigned.
•Consults with Customer Service Training Specialists and management to define training priorities and needs.
•Assists Customer Service Training Specialists to track and analyze programs by examining learner’s satisfaction levels, proficiency testing and job performance; helps to develop and revise programs, evaluation tools and measurements to determine effectiveness of curriculum content.
•Supports the design, development and maintenance of web-based learning modules which incorporate multimedia elements (text, hyperinks, streaming video, flash, audio, and interactive elements).
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
•High School Diploma.
•2+ years of experience working in customer service field and/or employee benefits.
•Proficiency in the use of the PC and Microsoft Office applications.
•Proficient oral and written communication skills.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree in business or related field.
•Knowledge of Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, 401 (k) or 403 (b) Pension Plans; Health & Welfare Plans.
•2+ years of experience in employee benefits field.
•Previous training and/or procedure writing experience.
