Table Games Pit Manager

*Maintains a positive attitude at all times, supporting the policies of Senior Management of the Casino as well as Senior Management of Ameristar Casino, Inc.
*Accountable for the adherence and/or enforcement of all written/internal controls and procedures within the casino.
*Responsible for having a full comprehensive knowledge of internal controls and adhering and enforcing the same.
*Monitor Floor Supervisors performance and ensure accountability for the rating of players.
*Monitor pit and gaming equipment to ensure proper working order and condition and notify the Casino Shift Manager of needed repairs.
*Make certain games are counted and verified correctly at opening and closing.
*Issue casino credit as requested by approved patrons.
*Verify the pit scheduling needs and advise Casino Shift Manager of recommendations for changes to staffing levels.
*Verify accurate records of team member payroll hours.
*Responsible for meeting and developing players with notification of the Casino Shift Manager of extraordinary or unusual circumstances.
*Ensure and maintain proper control over the gaming tables within the guidelines of the State Gaming Control Board and Ameristar Casino.
*Project a very positive image, demonstrate professionalism at all times, insist on game security and maintain excellent team member and guest relations.
*Perform the duties of the Casino Shift Manager in his/her absence.
*Monitor and implement the issuance of comps.
*Coach, monitor, and develop team members for improved performance.
*Issuing timely performance evaluations on subordinates and offering developmental guidelines and resources to achieve goals.
*Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential information disclosed by an Ameristar entity.
*Must have a sound knowledge of card counting and other related topics/issues.
*All other duties as assigned.Job Requirements
Experience and Education Required:

*High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
*Four-to-six years of supervisory experience in gaming industry.

Skills Required:

*Excellent verbal communication required with sound administrative skills.
*Sound knowledge of all casino games.
