T-OT-Mailroom Assistant

Classification: Temporary Compensation: Pay up to $9.00 per hour An inserter operator level one is responsible for running mail jobs on inserting machines, such as Pitney Bowes Series 8, DM-9, Bell & Howell or Mailcrafters. The operator must turn jobs over in a timely manner and get the assigned jobs out as scheduled. The operator must run the inserter at top efficiency for each job at all times.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job set-up
„XCheck the job for correct stock and postage.
„XHave first piece checked for accuracy before running the job.
Machine adjustment and maintenance
„XRegulate all settings on the machine to ensure optimum performance. Perform maintenance as required.
Batch Control
„XVerify all work before it is sent to MMS to make sure it is presorted correctly, that the job balances and that all reruns, NCP errors, foreign mail and additional postage are documented correctly.
„XRemove all pulls before the job is mailed, properly track reruns and submit reruns for reprint.
Presorting Mail
„XBatch sort by zip code, tray and tag the mail.All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States.
