Supply Chain Coordinator

Basic Function:

This job exists to execute day to day supply chain operational activities including: customs compliance record keeping, supplier invoice and import freight bill processing, processing & maintenance of SAP purchase orders and records, maintaining and updating accurate filing and record keeping activities. Additionally, this person will serve as the main point of contact between our International Supply Chain team and our corporate Financial Services Center and will therefore have a variety of accounting responsibilities.


Basic Accountabilities:

- Maintains purchasing files, generates and maintains purchase orders and issues/tracks debit memos

-Maintains files for customs compliance and monitors & reports on receiving discrepancies as outline in MeadWestvaco's Customs Compliance Policy

- Runs and distributes established reports to support compliance metric monitoring/tracking.

- Processes and submits supplier invoices.

- Main contact for other functional areas to resolve receiving count and/or invoicing discrepancies.

- Submits vendor add/change requests.

- Acts as a liaison between Purchasing and Financial Services Center (FSC) for the wire transfer payment process, including communication of and compliance to periodic process changes.

- Expedites delivery of information to receiving including updates of shipment information from international suppliers.

- General administrative support such as direct phone calls, handle correspondence, handle incoming and outgoing mail/packages.


Requirements:

- Computer literacy and accuracy in Microsoft Office (namely with Excel and Word), SAP and Business Warehouse systems.

- Strong analytical and organization skills with attention to detail and follow up.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to effectively & professionally communicate with internal and external customers, as well as with multiple sites and functions.

- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment.

- Associates degree in business with two years accounting experience or equivalent work experience highly preferred.
