Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities
?Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
?Compile, review, and maintain data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents in order to assess supply needs.
?Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
?Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors to initiate Report of Discrepancy (ROD).
?Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment. Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
?Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms and warehouses. Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and equipment used or issued.
Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
?Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer. Stock all items in an orderly and accessible manner in accordance to proper warehouse regulations.
?Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. Determine sequence and release of back orders according to stock availability.
Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.
?Administrative tasks including but not limited to completing all shipping and receiving documents, and preparing other reports required by the contract.

Skills/experience:


1 plus years of experience in warehouse environment

Forklift experience is required

Knowledge of the distribution industry is preferred

Must be able to lift up to 25-50 pounds and can bend, stoop, climb, and pull

Requires climbing up and down ladders to store items on storage racks

Have the ability to be on your feet up to 8 hours a day

Knowledge of warehouse operating procedures

Basic knowledge of Personal Computer and Microsoft Office Programs

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Good reading and analytical skills required

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively for a diverse team-oriented company.

Ability to effectively manage time, prioritizes multiple responsibilities, and must be detail-oriented.



Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
