Our Sr. Provider Services Rep manages the Ancillary and Behavioral Health network. Responsibilities will include developing and implementing strategic initiatives, negotiating new contracts, ensuring that existing providers are appropriately contracted and configured, developing and implementing a training program for providers, and ensuring other AMERIGROUP associates are trained to serve the network.
REQUIREMENTS
Along with a Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare, the successful candidate should have:
- Three to five years experience in a managed healthcare environment, provider relations or network management; experience with Medicaid preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, Word, & Excel
- Claims experience/knowledge of medical coding
Must also be a self starter with a demonstrated history of:
- Knowledge of provider compensation and capitation issues’
- Familiarity with provider organizational arrangements; IPA, PHO, Group Practice, etc.,
- Above average negotiation skills,
- Excellent communications and presentations skills,
- Strong analytical abilities,
- Ability to complete multiple projects and to meet deadlines,
- Appreciation of cultural diversity and sensitivity towards target population.
