JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Communications Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of communications surrounding the Enterprise initiatives and functions.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute proactive strategic communications plans and project communications plans to support change initiative objectives.

Understand major milestones and calendar of events.

Recommend and implement technologies and tactics that help move the organization into alignment with change initiative objectives.

Develop key messages based on thorough situation and audience analysis.

Drive communications deliverables for change initiatives program, including Power Point presentations, Web content, executive communications, etc.

Manage outside vendors, as needed, to ensure the production of creative, high-quality, cost-effective communications solutions

Coordinate technical, legal and stakeholder reviews to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of materials

Establish methods for obtaining feedback on communications activity; execute and develop action plans based on that feedback.
REQUIREMENTS


EDUCATION


Bachelor's Degree in Communications and/or Journalism or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience


EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate communications or communications consulting
Health and/or managed care industry experience preferred
Demonstrated track record managing and supporting projects

Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment and accurately complete multiple assignments under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communications and editing skills which reflect an ability to clarify and simplify complicated issues and an ability to be versatile in tone and technique depending on the audience.
