Services Center Coordinator

Estes Express Lines is seeking a Services Center Coordinator to operate through a network of internal and external expedited transportation suppliers, determine the most efficient cost effective, time sensitive process of providing Estes Air service. You will secure business by quoting and securing calls from customers utilizing telephone sales techniques. You will proactive in identify shipments at risk of service failure and take control of shipments to insure on time delivery. You will develop and maintain a positive working relationship with service providers and ensure comprehensive compliance with all TSA and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities and duties will include:
Research all possible routings via airlines, linehaul, pick-up/delivery, scheduling and geographic servicing. Analyze routes for efficiency and cost effectiveness, negotiate pricing as necessary. Quote pricing and service level to consumers and secure the Estes Air Shipments. Document with detailed trace notes and accurate data entry.
Set up services per contract with consumer. Thoroughly document all information for every shipment including special customer requests, documentation of agent specials, the assignment of special authorization numbers and shipment tracing information. Manage document flow of agents, surface carriers and appropriate TSA documents.
Maintain on-time service integrity with a goal of 100% on time. Continually monitor and update shipments as defined by Estes Air Services management policies. Communicate promptly and effectively with internal customers, external customers and all service providers, in regard to any issues that any place shipments in jeopardy.
Assist in the development and continuing refinement of a network of domestic and international expedited alternative suppliers designed to supplement Estes Express Line’s existing line haul system.
Continually assess transportation service capabilities and cost considerations in order to creatively service individual customer shipments and Estes Air capabilities in both service and yield with a continual goal of 100% on time.
Utilize current and developing Internet tracking applications to effectively update, communicate and monitor shipment forwarding status. Review developing computer applications for enhancement and refinements that could potentially increase productivity and lower costs.


Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Logistics or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in transportation, logistics or a related business or activity with a clear understanding of multiple modes and services within the transportation/logistics industry.
Demonstrated effective problem solving, quantitative analysis, telephone sales, negotiations, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to clearly convey short and long-term defined goals.
Proficient understanding of PC and mainframe computer applications including the Internet
Demonstrated ability to ensure complete customer satisfaction and to create repeat business opportunities.
Knowledge of continental United States geography.
