Service Shop Manager

Atlas Copco Comptec Inc – a centrifugal compressor manufacturer in Voorheesville, NY – is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Service Shop Manager to work in our newly acquired Aftermarket Repair Shop in La Porte Texas. Atlas Copco is a $6 billion international industrial machinery manufacturer with headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden.

The successful candidate would manage and coordinate all Aftermarket repair activities of the Atlas Copco Gas & Process Repair Shop in La Porte Texas.

Principal responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Responsible for achieving financial and operational efficiency (utilization, absorption) targets/goals. Produce monthly repair bookings and invoicing reports and graphs.
•Communicate effectively with the customer to fully understand his repair needs.
•Interface with key technical personnel to support customer requirements.
•Organize and supervise a multi-functional service team to successfully deliver service and repairs.
•Schedule and expedite emergency repairs, priorities and workflow
•Calculation of cost, price and delivery.
•Ensure customer satisfaction in regards to quality and timely service
•To comply with Safety Rules, Regulations and OSHA Requirements

REQUIREMENTS
The position requirements include:
•Minimum of 6 years experience with repairs of Turbomachinery
•Experience in a machine/repair shop environment, including operation of CNC equipment, precision measurement tooling, and familiar with machine workshop Quality Control practices.
•Demonstrate strong problem solving abilities
•Good supervision and leadership skills
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Familiar with office computer applications: MS word, Excel, Lotus Notes
•Have a positive “can do” attitude
