Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Judge Technical Staffing currently has an IMMEDIATE NEED for the following individual for an excellent client in Northern NJ. Seeking highly motivated Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (primarily focused on software, but could also include hardware). Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree (computer science/engineering) and 7+ years Quality Assurance experience with Windows-based software including demonstrated experience in aspects of full SDLC. This person must have experience with functional, regression, unit, component, best case scenario correctness testing, and integration testing. Experience with automated testing tools, writing test scripts, and writing test plans is highly desirable (for example, experience with Silk products is a plus). The ideal candidate will have strong beliefs about testing and QA, with the goals of bringing order to the QA process, as well as thorough testing by trying to "break" software. Any background in healthcare/medical industry or experience testing digital equipment is a plus. Must possess strong communication skills, the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision, and demonstrated managerial potential.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, publish, implement, and execute test plans, including the preparation of comprehensive test scripts with defect tracking and reporting to follow. Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s quality assurance standards and procedures. Perform extensive hands on – and automated - software testing, while continuing to integrate current industry QA trends into these approaches. Act as second-tier technical support.
