Sales Assistant

Empress International LTD is a leading producer/importer in the food industry headquartered in Lake Success, NY. We are searching for sales support specialists to join our growing team. These new team members will assist the sales team in all functions of customer service:Job Description:
oHelp communicate regularly with customers to ensure satisfaction.
oAssist with the sale of products and handle sales related tasks
oSupply order confirmations to our customers
oProvide clerical and administrative support to Sales Team and customer base
oAdvise traffic regarding shortages in order to file claims
oResolve accounts receivable discrepancies
oFollow up on deductions, rebates and bill-back allowances for customers
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED with vocational business school studies, at minimum. Baccalaureate (BA or BS) degree in addition to vocational business school studies, preferred.COMPUTER SKILLS
·Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Power Point.GENERAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
·Must be personable, energetic, service oriented, team player with reliable attendance.
·Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, multi-task and use time effectively.
·Ability to take direction and follow instructions of supervisors, accept feedback and use it in a constructive manner.
·Food brokerage experience a definite plus
