Salad Bar Team Member

Department: Prepared FoodsJob Summary:
Maintains a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service. Supports the Team Leader and Regional Coordinator in maintaining regional standards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, chopping and preparing ingredients for the salad bar and maintaining the salad bar throughout the day.
REQUIREMENTS
Duties and Responsibilities:
Chops and prepares ingredients for the salad bar. Monitors and maintains the items in the salad bar case.
Ensures a fresh and appealing salad bar by rotating products, and removing out-of-date products, maintaining full levels of all products at the salad bar.
Maintains correct department signage and pricing.
Answers customer questions.
Follows and complies with all applicable health, sanitation and safe work practices.
Operates and sanitizes all Prepared Foods equipment in a safe and proper manner.
Answers department calls and pages quickly and with excellent phone etiquette.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Prepared Foods Team Leader, Associate Team Leader, or Supervisor.Requirements:
Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
Ability to understand customers’ needs and knowledgeably communicate the product line to the customer.
Ability to perform simple math operations.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with others.
Ability to understand and complete departmental transfers.
Must be 18 years or older and able to work up to a maximum of 8-10 hours per day.
Ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, climb ladders, lift loads, up to 50 lbs. unassisted, push and pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted.
Ability to visually examine products for quality and signage/labeling for accuracy.
Demonstrated proficiency in the proper use of a dumpster, baler, knives, and all related equipment.
Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Willingness to provide exemplary customer service constantly and consistently.
Good communication skills.
A desire to learn about natural and organic foods and products.
