OfficeMax Print & Document Services is seeking customer focused individuals who are interested in putting their know-how to work with an industry forerunner. We currently are recruiting for: Print and Document Services (PDS) Production Center Digital Pre-press Specialist



The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast paced production environment that is subject to constant change in job duties and assignments, producing high quality products on a deadline. Prior experience with both PC and Macintosh systems is required; experience with various graphic design software is a plus.



Duties include: Operating and maintaining complex digital equipment that outputs electronically designed digital artwork; pre-flight color and B&W files and troubleshoot client files; create files in nonstandard or new software packages; perform prepress operations; utilize manuals for self training and train others; interpret, analyze, and when necessary, correct, complex single and multicolor electronic files; install software; install and perform minor repair to hardware updates; operate PC and Mac platforms, rip to output devices, operate peripherals/modems; prepare electronic files for B&W, spot and process color printing; maintain a clean and safe work environment, following established safety procedures.

Proficient in both PC and Macintosh systems Minimum of 1 year network experience Knowledge of a variety of graphic design software applications and scanning functionality Working knowledge of LAN concepts including file sharing, storage, retrieval and printing. Working knowledge of modem and web-based communications including email and Internet functionality Able to work a variety of day/evening shifts including weekends as needed Ability to positively interact with other team members and management
