SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Pella offers a full range of residential and commercial products under three distinct product lines: Architect Series®, Designer Series® and ProLine®. In addition Pella’s Precision Fit® replacement windows are high-quality wood replacement windows.

Summary: This position will provide service to all Pella products as needed in customer’s homes and in Pella Architectural Products’ shop.
Location: Santa Barbara, CA
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Completes all service calls as indicated on daily schedule.
•Ensures that all necessary tools and parts are available for service calls.
•Properly documents each service call on the service tickets.
•Performs service work including, but not limited to, installing sashes, installing door panels, adjusting windows, re-glazing windows, installing muntins, re-cladding windows.
•Collects COD-s from customers for service work completed.
•Maintains appropriate van parts inventory, keeps work areas neat.
•Maintains valid driver’s license.
•Maintains company safety and quality standards.
•Works in compliance with internal policies, standards and external regulations.
•Performs other duties as requested.

REQUIREMENTS
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
•Ability to calculate addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
•Ability to perform to safety requirements.
•Must maintain valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
•Ability to lift 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
•Mechanical aptitude, Manual dexterity.
•Proficient with hand and small power tools.
•Blueprint/drawing reading.
•Ability to interface successfully with all levels of employees, customers and vendors.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma. Experience installing windows or doors is helpful. Ability/experience in working with wood also a plus.
