SENIOR CUSTOMS ENTRY SPECIALIST

The SENIOR CUSTOMS ENTRY SPECIALIST is responsible for ensuring credit terms compliance, determining tariff headings, calculating duty, and preparing entry and post-entry documents.
Principal Accountabilities:
•Determine credit terms for payment of duty and freight
•Determine initial classification based on information provided on commercial invoice and through consultation with importer
•Calculate amount of duty payable to US Customs
•Assist in preparing entry documents. Audit documents for completeness and accuracy. Maintain brokerage files
•Monitor entry status for US Customs release. Upon release, prepare delivery order
•Prepare billing sheets as required
•Assist with training new employees
REQUIREMENTS
This is an intermediate level position. Good interpersonal and communication skills required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Generally prefer 2-4 years of experience.
