Retail / Service Manager

Primary Responsibilities:
· Provide excellent customer service and salesmanship to walk-in, phone-in and field customers. Candidate will possess at least two years of relevant customer service experience
· Recruit, train and manage support staff, consisting of an Assistant Manager, Service Technician(s) and seasonal and part-time associates. Candidate will possess at least two years of relevant H.R. management experience.
· Promote the marketing and operational cross-flow between field Service and the Retail Store. Candidate will possess the entrepreneurial vision and sales and marketing savvy to exploit cross-marketing and -operational synergies between A & S Service and Store.
· Manage staffing so as to maximize productivity and customer service while minimizing payroll expense. Candidate will possess at least two years of direct staff management and payroll budgeting, monitoring and control.
· Implement in-store merchandising to maximize the selling power of the sales floor. Candidate will possess at least two years of experience in visual merchandising, planogramming and display rotation.
· Manage fleet of Company vehicles, including routing, GPS tracking, truck stock and cost control
· Closely monitor cash flow, credit cards, checks, accounts receivable and inventory in compliance with Company policies. Candidate will possess at least two years of relevant retail cash and inventory management. This experience should entail facility annual sales volume of at least $500k. Candidate will also have prior P & L management experience/responsibility.
· Maintain safe working conditions at all times and comply with the Company’s Safety Program and other regulatory requirements
· Order merchandise for resale, with the intent of flowing inventory in a just-in-time manner while minimizing out-of-stocks
· Actively support and promote the products chosen by the Corporate Office to advertise or promote
· Provide regular feedback to General Manager about store’s market conditions, product issues, competition, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Position Requirements: Prior retail/Service management experience, College degree, proficiency with computers (MS Office, Internet, Outlook), reliable transportation and ability to lift 50 pounds. Knowledge of pools preferred.
A Bachelor Degree
3+ years of management experience in a mix of retail and service oriented businesses (assistant manager would be ok in a high volume store) - similar service experience that would be good would be - sears appliances, terminix, window sales, etc…

Required - proficiency with computers, Excel

Required - reliable transporation

Required - ability to lift 50 pounds

Required - familiarity with and previous responsibility for P&L

Prefer - knowledge of pools
