Homes for America Holdings, Inc. (HFAH) has an immediate opening for a residential leasing agent in the Hartford area. The employer is an established real estate development and management company that develops and manages residential, retail, and commercial properties throughout the United States.

We are looking for a professional individual with strong written and verbal communication skills and a friendly, service oriented demeanor to serve as our representative in the leasing of new apartments. The Residential Leasing Agent position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with some sales, customer service, public interaction experience to break into the exciting real estate profession. A real estate license is a plus, but not required for this position.

The responsibilities of this position will include…

Handling leasing, marketing, sales, customer service, and administrative responsibilities
Locating and qualifying potential residents, assisting existing residents, renewing leases, and collecting rent
Coordinating work orders with the Maintenance Department and reporting any service needs to the Property Manager
Greeting prospective residents and showing apartments throughout the community
Converting leads into sales by outreach, prospecting, and lead generation
Completing and processing all lease applications, performing credit and background verifications
Completing and distributing appropriate reports, including leasing files and market surveys
Maintaining effective lease renewal programs
Performing guest card follow through in accordance with standard operating procedure
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered, an individual should possess, and demonstrate, the following…

Working knowledge of Windows based programs (such as MS Word, MS Excel etc)
Ability to handle a high volume of telephone calls from current and prospective residents
Ability to work as a team player
Superior customer service skills
Able to greet prospective residents in a friendly and professional manner and environment
Basic knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA, and other laws pertaining to apartments is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Special Notes:

Weekly work schedule will include weekends and some holidays.
Must be physically able to tour apartments both indoor and outdoor
