Regional Operations Manager

A multi-state transportation and delivery company is accepting resumes for the position of Regional Operations Manager based in the Southern California area. This position directs, administers, and oversees the activities of the branch operations managers at each facility located in Southern California by implementing policies, goals, and objectives established by senior management.



Responsibilities:



1. Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.



2. Guides and directs facility operations management in the development, production, promotion, and financial aspects of the organization’s services.



3. Directs the preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on broad corporate goals and growth objectives for each facility.



4. Implements programs that meet corporate goals and objectives.



5. Creates the structure and processes necessary to manage the organization’s current activities and its projected growth.



6. Maintains a sound plan of corporate organization, establishing policies to ensure adequate management development and to provide for capable management succession.



7. Develops and installs procedures and controls to promote effective communication and adequate information flow within the southern region and the organization as a whole.



8. Evaluates the results of overall facility operations regularly and systematically reports these results to the Regional General Manager.



9. Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.



10. Ensures that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws.



Salary ranges from $100,000 to $125,000 base + a potential bonus of up to a maximum of $44,000 annually based on key performance indicators. The company sponsored benefits package is highly competitive. Working knowledge of California, Nevada and Arizona labor laws desired.
REQUIREMENTS
Ideal candidate must have prior experience in the transportation and delivery industry. Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time between the facilities located in the Southern Region. Must be able to prioritize multiple projects and issues while working toward timely resolution and completion of responsibilities.

Ideal candidate will have prior experience managing multiple site locations. You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be self motivated and results oriented.
