Real Estate Commercial Relationship Manager III
Hours/Schedule: 8:00 AM -- 5:00 PM Description: A Relationship Manager III is responsible for developing a portfolio of highly diverse and complex credits and for providing exceptional client service. A Relationship Manager III should be able, over time, to develop a portfolio and relationships as follows:Middle Market: $50-$130 million in loan balances, including 5-10 Tier 1 relationships.Real Estate: $60-$150 million in loan balances, including 4-8 Tier 1 relationships.Relationship Manager III's are expected to proactively promote Wilmington Trust and to develop new business opportunities for the company. The Relationship Manager III will be required to actively participate in Market/Business development activities. These are to include industry networking opportunities as well as developing and maintaining relationships with a variety of centers of influence (i.e. CPA's, Attorneys, etc.).Additionally Relationship Manager III's are expected to achieve the results as outlined in the Bank's Business Plan, which includes the cross-selling of non-credit services and referrals to other areas of the Bank.Relationship Manager III's are responsible for maintaining the highest quality credit standards and for exercising sound judgement in the administration and maintenance of their loan portfolio. They are to ensure credit quality standards are maintained by actively monitoring financial performance of relationships in their portfolio, following up on administrative/technical deficiencies in a timely manner, ensuring collateral lien positions are appropriately perfected, ensuring timely renewals of lines of credit and matured loan facilities, and proactively addressing client delinquencies. The loan quality standards should be in line with those established in the Bank's Business Plan.The Relationship Manager III is responsible for proactively identifying activities which will enhance their professional skills as related to their job requirements.
Relationship Manager III's should perform other work-related duties as assigned, including mentoring and coaching other employees in a Team Leader capacity.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree, plus formal credit training, or equivalent training or work experience. Six years of banking experience, including three years of commercial credit/lending experience.Proficiency in the use of personal computers and software packages, including Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of accounting, including statement analysis. Proficiency in assessing client needs and determining credit and industry risk. Ability to structure, price, and document loans based on needs analysis and risk assessment. Basic understanding of derivative and trust products. Excellent oral and written communication skills, evidenced in loan approval packages, client interactions, and credit approval meetings. Proficiency in selling, networking and negotiations. Mentoring/coaching less experienced staff members.
