Fully experienced non-exempt role. Performs a variety of skilled routine and non-routine duties. Applies standard practices and policies.



Interacts with new and assists customers to determine which products and services best fit their needs and interests them in the products and services. Educates customers on product lines and guides them through the purchasing process. Promotes the sale of products and services by meeting or exceeding standards for productivity. Will use both experience and knowledge to build customer relationships and drive sales. Maintains awareness of all product requirements and information, promotions and advertising. Maintains inventory and provides high level of customer service support with product expertise and advanced selling skills. Accountable for accurate and complete sales transactions. Engages in company-sponsored programs and events to develop new customer prospects or referrals. Conducts customer credit inquiries, adds customer accounts to billing system and informs customer about their account. Assists in maintaining the store's cleanliness and organization.



The Retail Communication Consultant (RCC) is responsible for inside sales and providing world-class service to new and existing customers in the EMBARQ retail store. The Representative is the primary point of contact for customers calling in to or visiting the stores to purchase EMBARQ products and services or for customer service. The RCC will be assigned a monthly quota for the purpose of commission and will need to perform inside sales, outside events, and outbound marketing to attain their goals. The RCC will guide the customer through the purchasing decision, activation process, and educate the customer on their new purchase. The RCC performs customer credit reviews, builds customer accounts in the billing system, and educates customers about their account. JOB REQUIREMENTS


1. Combination of education and relevant experience totaling 2 years post-high school or equivalent

2. Thorough knowledge of retail selling processes

3. Excellent customer service skills

4. Strong verbal communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills

5. Experience with office machinery and personal computers

6. Ability to work in a team environment

7. Experience with outbound marketing, customer follow-up, and referral based selling is preferred

8. Wireless or consumer electronic experience is preferred
